Welcome letter

Welcome to the inaugural issue of Where you'd rather Be magazine. After opening Newman-Dailey Resort Properties in 1985, I've had the pleasure of watching South Walton and Destin evolve over the last several decades. 

Among the many changes we've experienced, one thing remains the same, the beauty and tranquility that can be found along our pristine shores. It is the one thing that consistently attracts visitors here year after year, and fuels the desire to own a second home or move to this gorgeous coast as a full time resident. But beyond the beaches, there are tales of the people and places that have played a vital role in shaping the coastal communities of Northwest Florida.

Through Be Magazine, we aim to share some of these incredible stories, special places and passionate individuals who bring life to our community. We know you want to Be together and have fun while you’re at the beach so you've highlighted fun things to do, places to eat, hot spots to shop and more.
