COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
At Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, we genuinely care about our guests, owners, and the community. Our team members' hearts are big and their passion for non-profit causes is strong. We support many non-profit organizations along the Emerald Coast as well as organizations within the cities where our guests reside.
Harvest House of Destin
The Newman-Dailey team has adopted Harvest House of Destin as its community service project for the last two years. With food insecurity on the rise, the team at Newman-Dailey raised $35,569 and 4,479 food items for the company’s second fundraising effort and donation for the Harvest House of Destin.
Harvest House is one of the longest operating non-profit organizations in the Destin area. Established in 1987 by Jerry Ogle with his wife, Claire, the Harvest House was founded to share food with the hungry, which helped the local fishing community get through the long, cold winter. Staying true to the vision, the Harvest House Food Pantry & Thrift Store has continued regular operations for more than 36 years. In just two years, Team Newman-Dailey has been able to raise $74,065 in total for the cause.
Habitat for Humanity of Walton County
With a lack of affordable housing in Walton County, Team Newman-Dailey has made Habitat for Humanity Walton County a primary partner for our community service initiatives. With a staff member serving on the board of directors, Team Newman-Dailey was able to partner with this non-profit to provide a $133,000 grant donation. In addition, the team has also put in sweat equity through build days. Most recently, the team traveled to Hope Village in DeFuniak Springs to work on floor trim, caulking, window treatments, and installing closet systems for several homes nearing completion.
Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation
Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s mission is to connect wine enthusiasts to raise money to benefit children in need in Northwest Florida. Founded in 2005, DCWAF has donated more than $35 million to Northwest Florida charities by hosting world-class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of over 200,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Our CEO Jeanne Dailey serves on the DCWAF board and was chairman of the 2024 Charity Wine Auction. Team members serve on the DCWAF Marketing Committee and Newman-Dailey is proud to serve as the lodging sponsor for auction each year. DCWAF is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s top ten highest-grossing charity auctions by Wine Spectator Magazine.
Food for Thought
Many children suffer from what the USDA refers to as "Food insecurity," which means they worry about where their next meal will come from. Public schools receive government assistance to provide breakfast and lunch for these children on school days, but what happens on the weekends? In Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Food For Thought is enabling children to focus on their development and education by providing backpacks filled with easy-to-prepare healthy meals. We are proud to support Food for Thought in its mission by volunteering our time to stuff backpacks with food as well as fundraising for their annual Stock the Pantry event. Since 2015, the Newman-Dailey team has gathered 155,342 food items and raised more than $154K in donations.
United Way of Northwest Florida
An ongoing partner with United Way, Team Newman-Dailey supports the annual campaign through individual donations through payroll deductions and company matching as well as funds donated through "Jeans Fridays." A former board member, Jeanne Dailey continues to support United Way initiatives that benefit nearly 50 local charities.
Relay for Life
Many members of the Newman-Dailey family have been impacted by cancer, and the Newman-Dailey Relay For Life team, Vacation Vixens, is passionate about raising money for cancer research. Team Newman-Dailey has been recognized as the Top Fundraising Team and Top Online Fundraising Team. Our team also received individual awards, including Amy receiving the Top Individual Online Fundraising & Star Supporter Award, Landra earning a Star Supporter Award, and Lisa receiving Top Individual Fundraiser & Star Supporter Award! The accolades are great but the ultimate reward would be finding a cure!
The Junior League
As a female business owner, Jeanne and the team advocate for organizations that empower women. Through hands-on training and formal learning opportunities, The Junior League gives women the skills needed to improve the quality of life in the communities they serve. We are proud to support Junior League of the Emerald Coast by supporting their annual clothing drive as well as chapters in cities around the country, including Austin, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Louisville and St. Louis.
Rotary Club of Destin
With a heart for humanitarian service and a passion for high ethical standards in all vocations, Jeanne Dailey was among the first three women to be inducted into the Rotary Club of Destin more than a decade ago. She is a past president and supporter of Rotary Club's fundraising efforts and mission to positively change lives through service, across the street, and around the world.
Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation
Newman-Dailey is a proud supporter of the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, which serves as a champion for cultural arts and education in Northwest Florida. Newman-Dailey is a regular supporter of the Festival of the Arts, which benefits their All Kinds of Art educational outreach in area schools.
Bonefish Celebrity Server Luncheon
In 2012, the Newman-Dailey team held its own fundraising event, the Bonefish Celebrity Server Luncheon, to raise money for United Way and the American Cancer Society. Joined by former New Orleans Saints Cornerback Tracy Porter, the 2012 luncheon raised more than $24,000.
